When will photovoltaic systems replace coal and nuclear power plants?

The main impetus for the development of solar power systems is public demand for clean energy. Burning fossil fuels pollutes the environment, while nuclear power creates dangerous waste. If we seriously consider the environmental and health costs of fossil fuels and nuclear power, there are good reasons to consider solar energy. So over the next few decades, we'll start to see more solar power systems built in areas that use fossil fuels and nuclear power. In developing countries, where there is little or no conventional energy, solar energy is already widely used because it costs less than other options, and the environmental benefits of this cleaner source of energy are considerable.
